THE Super Slow Way
Working with communities along the canal from Blackburn to Pendle, The Super Slow Way delivers an ambitious programme comprised of local, national and international artists in a series of commissioned and community-based residencies. 200 years after the canal’s birth, The Super Slow Way has staged a new, creative revolution powered by art and people.
We have worked with the wonderful Super Slow Way team since their official launch in April 2016. In 2021 they underwent a small but significant rebrand and asked us to work with them on creating a new visual identity.
The identity references the journey: slowing down, meandering, not always taking the direct route, the location and making connections.
A new colour palette is inspired by the canal and the wonderful East Lancashire location.
The meandering line is a device used throughout the work, providing a visual cue or means to highlight a location on the canal.
We are extemely proud to have won a Gold Award at the Wolda.org (World Logo Design Award) for the redesign of the logo.
